Training at the Black Mountain Hua Hin Football Academy takes place on the 80m x 40m grass pitch at the Hua Hin International School.
The pitch has a state of the art drainage and sprinkler system installed meaning that it can be used all year round. There is a marquee so parents can watch the training from the shade.
For children that are too young to play football there is a covered adventure playground while any parents feeling active are welcome to use the basketball / netball court which is also in the shade.
BMHHFA has ten goals varying in all shapes and sizes suitable for everything from small sided games up to 9 a side matches as well as 50+ footballs and an enormous selection of cones, bibs, agility ladders and other technical equipment.
For the Under 6s we use size 3 balls and the emphasis is on small sided games, typically playing 3-4 a side with four small goals. For the Under 10s and Under 12s we use size 4 balls and play anything from 3-6 a side.
For children aged 12+ we use size 5 balls and there is more emphasis on playing 7 a side, although the small sided games are still a great way to teach players about the importance of passing and movement while ensuring everyone gets to spends time in possession.
