BMHHFA Under 10s finish third in SPS Mini League

On Sunday the Under 1os played in the SPS Mini League. Despite missing a couple of key players the boys performed very well and could have won the entire tournament with  convincing win in the final game.

The 10 minute games were close affairs but BMHHFA didn’t concede a single goal in the first three matches, beating Hua Na and Seahorse 1-0 and drawing 0-0 with Vanorn Kanong.

The final match was against Hua Hin City and a win would have guaranteed that the team finished top on points, with goal difference likely to come into play. Unfortunately the team conceded for the first time in the tournament and then couldn’t equalize, losing 1-0.

Two wins and a draw were enough to secure a third place trophy and there were some outstanding performances, particularly from stand in goalkeeper Alex who pulled off some stunning saves during the 0-0 draw with Vanorn Kanong.

Louis was also very lively and extremely unfortunate to hit the woodwork three times, with one shot rebounding off the crossbar and two hitting the post. With every single match finishing either 1-0 or 0-0 this was an extremely competitive day’s football and the perfect introduction to the 5 a side game for the players.
