Today Coach Thong came to inspect the pitches at the Hua Hin International School and see what equipment the Black Mountain Hua Hin Football Academy needs to purchase ahead of the grand opening on April 28th.
The pitches have had a lot of work on them recently and should be in pristine condition by April 28th. HHIS have also installed a state of the art drainage system with pipes running under the surface to ensure that even in heavy rain the surface doesn’t get waterlogged.
He was delighted to see that there are two 16ft x 7ft stainless steel goals which will be absolutely perfect for goalkeeping practise or playing 9 a side matches. Coach Thong also visited an ironmongers and has ordered another six small goals to be purpose built, meaning the academy will have ten goals to begin with.
He also paid a visit to Dao Geela sport shop to order 30 more footballs meaning that there will be 50+ balls to choose from, more than enough for every player to have one each. We will use size 3 balls with the Under 6s, size 4 balls for the 7-12 year olds and size balls for children aged 12+ and adults.
Finally Coach Thong has ordered 100 brand new kits and is just waiting approval from Black Mountain before having them printed with the official logos. We also have over 100 small cones and will be ordering more technical equipment and accessories over the course of the coming weeks.
